Harley hosts this week's episode of Handle It and teaches you how to cook inside of a pumpkin! A very good Halloween hack!
Ingredients
1 Medium sized pumpkin
1 Box of lasagna noodles
1 Package of bacon
1 LB of groundbeef
Salt and pepper to season
1 Cup of ricotta cheese
3 Tbsp pumpkinpie filling
2 Cups of marinara sauce
Tool
1 Large pot
1 Pair of tongs
2 Mixing bowls
1 Chef knife
1 Cutting board
1 Frying pan
1 Metal slotted spoon
1 oven tray
Step 1
Boil a pot of water then cook lasagna noodles for ten mintues until tender then remove and set aside.
Step 2
Cut bacon into bits then cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Cook ground beef for 10 to 15 mintues on medium heat and season with salt and pepper then combine the bacon and meat together.
Step 3
Cut the top off the pumpkin and carve with a metal spoon to remove the seeds and guts. Once guts are removed carve the inside of the pumpkin to make more space for the lasagna.
Step 4
In a mixing bowl add ricotta cheese and 3 Tbsps of pumpkin pie filling then mix together.
Step 5 build
Begin layering lasagna with marinara sauce, noodles, ricotta cheese, meat mixture then repeat this step 2 times then top with noodles, sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour. Once baked let cool for 10 minutes.
