Chicken Rings - Handle It ─ Epic Meal Time

Do you like onion rings?! Well how about chicken? Now how about Chicken Rings. Let Dan teach you how to make them now!

Ingredients
1/2 a pack of bacon
1 onion
4 Chicken thighs
Seasoning of you choice

Crunchy coating
2 Cups of flour
2 Cups of bread crumbs
3 Eggs

Soft coating
1/2 cup of flour,
1/2 cup of cornmeal,
1/4 Tsp of baking powder,
1 egg,
1/2 cup of buttermilk
season with salt and pepper

Dipping sauce of your choice

Tools
1 Chef knife
1 Cutting board
1 Frying pan
1 Food processor
3 Mixing bowls
Parchment paper
Oven tray
1 Large pot
1 Metal slotted spoon

Step 1
Cook bacon bits in a frying pan on medium for 10 minutes.

Step 2
Cut onions into bits then blend in a food processor.

Step 3
Cut chicken thighs into pieces then blend in a food processor. Combine chicken with onions, buffalo sauce and your choice of seasoning.

Step 4
Line a tray with parchment paper then begin to form 3 inch rings with the chicken mixture and freeze in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Step 5
Prepare a dredging station with 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of bread crumbs and 3 eggs. Coat chicken rings in flour then dip in eggwash and cover in bread crumbs. Heat oil to 350 degree Fahrenheit and begin to deep fry chicken rings for 5 minutes.

Step 6
In a mixing bowl add 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of cornmeal, 1/4 Tsp of baking powder, 1 egg, 1/2 cup of buttermilk and season with salt and pepper then mix well. Coat chicken rings in batter then deep fry in oil at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.

Step 7
Serve with dipping sauce of your choice.
