I have been wanting a water feature on my backyard scale trail park for two years. Finally, the evolution has begun. This will only be a beginning feature of something that will continue into next year at our place. The focus of this water trap was not to make my vehicle soaking wet - but rather make the carefully placed logs, and round rocks become slippery. Viewers may notice that I have a Mud Pit just BEFORE this rocky water trap, on purpose. This is to get those tires full of mud. This will make all the rocks slippery on the water trap.
The water trap is running a 24v pump, and is recirculating the water I put in. I am powering this pump with a 6s 22.2v lipo - and have a variable speed controller for the pump.
Though this looks very rough.. I believe this is a great start to something that will evolve into a wonderful area for visitors and my family to have fun with their RC scale trail trucks! I like the Zen feeling it gives when the water is turned on.. and trickling away. Not to mention all the flying MUD!
For those who are interested - I am using the Capo Racing JK MAX (the re-designed 2018 version), all Metal Jeep 4x4 (with all current options). It weighs 13.5 Lbs in total.
The Dump truck I used to haul all my rocks is the RC4WD 797F Mine Truck. It can carry up to 400 Lbs of pay load. The Truck itself weighs 220 Lbs. I power it with a 12v Car battery.
