I was lucky enough to grow up under the wings of many loving people, but unfortunately, I didn't grow up having a close relationship to my mom -- a topic for the follow up video to this.
A lot of these lessons are those of which I had to teach myself throughout the awkward years of puberty and the confusing transition into adulthood. If I am to ever one day have a daughter of my own, or could in a way return to the different pivotal moments of my life and leave words to live by, it would be these ones here.
Even now, when relationships get tricky or emotions are running high, sometimes it's nice to have a fresh reminder that you've got this, things are never as bad as they seem and you're doing better than you believe.
