He was publishing his music online before SoundCloud was even a thing and performing shows in the Atlanta area while holding down a job at Burger King flipping patties. 2007 was SouljaBoy's breakout year and although his career has perhaps simmered down in the decade plus that followed. He truly did pave the path for everyone who came after him online, not just rappers but me included. In fact an old video has surfaced of Soulja Boy pumping up the crowd where he inspired a young Gazzi Garcia, aka Lil Pump.
