WELDING "LITTLE RED" - our NEW "YouTube GOLD" Mobile STEEL Trommel Trailer | RC ADVENTURES ─ RCSparks Studio

As Wyatt rolls into the yard with his lifted Diesel Ford on Monster tires.. I can not help but be excited knowing that today is the day we will be welding the new trailer dedicated to "Little Red", my Gold Mining Trommel for "YouTube Gold".. a show I produce here on this channel. We are in our second season.. and we would like to take this trommel to a few different locations. The only way to do that.. follow the Gold Rush Boys.. and have it constructed ourselves! Of course.. all of this is just a great hobby - and a #parody of #goldrush - and aboot as #Canadian as it gets.. !

Wyatt scaled down a popular design of trailer.. and had a skilled laser cutter, etch some epic slices into this steel. We discussed having adjustable sluice box angles, as well as the heavy weight of the trailer.. with a lower centre of gravity. if you notice in the end of this video.. I place an optima car battery (that powers the sluice pumps) into the belly of the trommel. This is to add to the stability of the unit. This unit now weighs (with battery) approximately 50lbs. It is very stable at the bottom.. especially with the battery.

After laying it out, I get to work using a Flux Core hobby welder. I dont really see the need to get a gas machine.. as I dont weld too often.. though I understand that there is much difference in the quality of welds.
