With the extreme cold snap going through our part of the world at the moment - I am given a chance to work on finishing some outstanding projects, before the spring. The once ICONIC and classically well-known BLACK WIDOW has an interesting story behind the build of this buggy, as well as it's demise. In this episode I am able to bring this beauty back from the boneyard - and breathe some life into it! This KING OF THE HAMMERS style off road buggy is truly one of a kind. BUT - I remember when I completed the soldering job on this RC - and I didn't have a properly heated soldering iron. It's a hack job through and through - but there were so many little wires for the exctra ESC for the winch, as well as the lights through out. All of them powered through the ESC solder posts. Ever since I have moved to a constant-temperature the connections are much cleaner, and work more effectively. In the black widow, I am running a GEN 2 TEKIN RX8 electronic speed control, as well as a Pro4 HD 4000kv motor! All hears are 32p and a steel driveline throughout. I power this monster on a 3s Lipo battery and it hauls ass. You don't have to take my word for it.. check out this list of epic Black Widow videos!
