In December of 2019 Wuhan, China experienced an outbreak of a pneumonia like
illness, which at the time, was caused by a new and unknown virus.
Just three months later in March of 2020 the virus we have come to know as
COVID-19, or coronavirus, has infected over 170,000 people worldwide.
The rapid spread of infection across the globe has become a pandemic that has
already taken the lives of over 6,000 people.
