Most people struggle to comprehend how someone could be capable of some of the worst crimes imaginable, especially against those who are most vulnerable in our society. When we think about serial killers, we often think about those who are behind bars and are facing justice for what they have done. The idea that there could be a serial killer out there who has escaped the course of justice is extremely frightening and unsettling for a lot of people.
