My build continues its evolution as I try out new ideas and really start to dial in the truck. Thankfully I was able to source another GMC Topkick / Chevy Kodiak body and its currently in transit. That means I can make all the mistakes I want with this "basher body" and still have a nice one for the 2020 TTC competition. At least thats what I want you to believe, deflecting from the fact that I completely butchered the body when I was experimenting with the stacks. Heh.. live and learn. Overall I am extremely happy with the build. I think I could move entire drive line back about 1/2 an inch and it would look better. Thankfully GCM Racing saw me experimenting with their frame rails, and sent me another set a few weeks ago for my "Final Product". I also want to address the winch line that snapped on my Reefs RC servo winch. I switch out the line (risking my servo in the future) for 100lb YELLOW Braided Fishing line. I am able to string 14 feet of this line on to a spool.. which is great for the snatch block I installed on the front bumper. I do have another snatch block on the way for the back winch, but its also in transit.
I hope all the parents out there understand why I have had to change my show to be more "Adult" oriented. If I could, I would have continued as I have for the last 12 years.. but with the COPPA law being enforced around the world, and in the face of penalties, I have to ensure that there is no mistaking that my content isn't SPECIFICALLY created for children under the ages of 13. This is due to the fact that YouTube in late 2019 had a settlement with the USA, State of CALIFORNIA for YouTube collecting "kids" viewing habits - to target ads towards them. This was beyond the control of the creator of course, as we have no say in what is advertised, nor how, or who it is distributed to. We simply make content. In the settlement YouTube had to agree to make the creators responsible to mark their videos as "made for kids" or "not made for kids". There is no "in between", or "all ages" choice. Any violation can cost the creator a penalty of up to $45,000 USD per "infraction" (video). This is "OLD" news.. but I know many people have no idea what Im talking about. Google "Coppa Law & YouTube settlement".. and you will go down that rabbit hole.
Regardless.. my channel has always been for all ages.. and since YouTube's user agreement says kids under 13 are not supposed to be on the platform (thats why there is a separate YouTube Kids App), then our content should be rated PG-13. I consider this video to be PG-13.
Its not my rule, law, or opinion - its just the Rules that Creators have to live by on this platform.
That is all.
Thank you for understanding.
I don't think anyone reads the video description anyway.. but if you do, maybe you could comment some support. That would be cool
