This project is really starting to take shape now.. but don't get left behind by skipping this video as I jump straight PAST building the frame of the TTC Truck, and start you off with fabricating a motor and transmission mount. This is a CMAX Aluminum Frame from GCM in Canada. It is 19.7 inches long. The Truck I am building is not a Kit, or a ready to assemble vehicle, rather a whole bunch of parts I have hand selected to assemble myself. Think of it much like assembling a custom Personal Computer. There are many manufacturers of parts, (ie: motherboards, video cards, etc..) and a hobbyist maybe able to stick a buncha different parts together and make them work. Same idea here. The chassis is much thinner in the middle, allowing for very interesting suspension link setups as well as how to mount up a motor.
Something OLD - was the REAR Hitch Plate from the ORIGINAL "Project Overkill" build from many years ago.
Something NEW - "3 Brothers RC" Servo 450oz/in of Torque!
Something USED - the Voodoo Tires and Rims from a trade I made at last years Rude Boyz RC TTC (Tough Truck Competition) 2019!
Something MADE - The Transmission Mount!!
The Axles I am using are Vanquish Products F9 Currie Portals. An Odd Choice some will say for a GMC Top Kick, but I figured it was a PERFECT FIT for a Project names OVERKILL 2020.
