I think there's no doubt in saying that Isekai have become their very own genre of anime purely out of the sheer amount of quantity we're getting every new season. That being said I couldn't help but notice that these Isekai always boil down to a very specific trope... sometimes several. You can call them clichés, you can call them flavor but there's no denying they all have that little something that makes them obvious in a way.
Of course that doesn't mean that they're all exclusively bad because of it. Nor good, it's just some de facto setting they seem to all fall into.
