So, in the US the declassification process is as follows â€" by Executive order 12526, documents are considered for declassification after 10 years, automatically declassified after 25 years, unless they fall with nine exceptions. Documents still classified at 50 years need to meet two exceptions and items classified beyond 75 years require special permission… so with that in mind….there will soon be freedom of information on a lot of big events… this is why they say that time reveals all! I think maybe not all, but some!
